Samsung Battery Replacement prices for every model
For now, we price this repair after a free diagnosis. Book, and we inspect your device at our workshop and confirm the repair it needs and its price.
Test the battery yourself first
Samsung builds a battery test into its own app. Open Samsung Members, tap Support, then Phone diagnostics, then Battery status. It describes the battery's condition in plain words, and anything other than a good or normal result means it's worn.
On recent Galaxy models, Settings, Battery, Battery information also shows when the battery was made and how many charge cycles it has completed. While you're there, check the battery usage list: a single app at the top using far more than the rest is a software issue, and a new battery won't fix it.
Signs it's the battery
- switching off at 15 to 30%, then showing charge again once plugged in
- the percentage dropping in jumps, especially with the camera, video or a game running
- running hot and charging slowly on its own charger
- needing an afternoon top-up for the same use that lasted all day a year ago
- the back glass lifting along one edge
A drain that started the day after a software update is the exception. The phone re-optimises its apps for a few days after a major update, and battery life usually recovers on its own within a week.
A lifting back means a swelling battery
On a Galaxy the battery sits right under the back glass, so when a cell swells, the back moves first. A gap along one edge, or a back that flexes when pressed, means the same thing. Stop charging it, don't press it flat, keep it out of a hot car, and book it as swollen. A swollen cell won't recover, and the pressure eventually cracks the back glass or the screen from inside.
What the repair involves
A modern Galaxy has no battery door. The back glass is sealed to the frame with adhesive and has to be warmed and lifted off, and on most models the battery underneath is glued into its tray too. That has two consequences we'd rather you knew now. A back glass that's already cracked usually doesn't survive being removed, so tell us if yours is, because it changes the job. And opening the phone breaks the factory water seal: we reseal it, but no opened phone should be trusted in water to its original IP rating, whoever repairs it.
Fold and Flip have two batteries
Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip phones split their battery into two cells, one in each half, linked through the hinge. Either can fail independently, and replacing one is a different job from a standard Galaxy. These are priced after a free diagnosis, when we confirm which cell has failed and what the repair costs.
Looking after the new battery
Android estimates battery level from learned behaviour, so the percentage can look odd for the first few charges on a new battery before settling. To slow down its ageing, turn on Battery protection in Settings, Battery, which stops the charge at less than full, and use a charger that suits the phone: a poor one charges slowly and runs it hot.
Collection and return are free, and the repair is done at our Deira workshop. The full process is on the Samsung repair in Dubai page, and each stage shows on repair tracking.
Questions before you book
Price, collection, your data, parts and warranty, answered plainly.
How can I tell my Samsung battery needs replacing?
Run the battery test in the Samsung Members app, under Support, Phone diagnostics. Anything less than a good or normal result means the battery is worn. Shutting down with 15 to 30% still showing, or a back that has started to lift, tells you the same thing without the test.
Will the phone be reset, and will I lose data?
No. A battery replacement involves no factory reset and doesn't touch your storage, Secure Folder or Samsung Wallet. Back up first anyway, as you would before any repair.
Is the phone still water resistant afterwards?
Assume it isn't. The back has to come off to reach the battery, which breaks the factory seal. It's sealed again when the phone is closed, but no repaired phone can be relied on to keep its IP rating, wherever it's repaired.
My Galaxy charges slowly. Is it the battery?
Often it's the charger or cable instead. Fast charging needs a compatible charger and a cable rated for it, and without them the phone quietly drops to slow charging. Try the original charger and cable, and check the port for lint. If it's slow and hot on a charger you know is good, book it in.
Do you replace Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip batteries?
Book with your exact model. Foldables have two battery cells, one in each half, so they're priced after a free diagnosis, when we confirm the repair and its price.
